Post rear axle issue
I didn't google this at all so if this is a dumb question just yell at me.

I put a new rear axle on my bike two months ago and Its not had many miles on it, maybe 200 or so. It a polo bike but my roommate uses it to get around. It could have happened in polo but I was wondering if because if my roommate rides it on the highest gear all the time it might strain the axle? I'm not bummed because its a cheap fix for an awful bike, I just want to know whats wrong with it.

Could you define ruin? Is there a noise? Grinding? Have you noticed a dramatic increase in the output needed to turn the wheel?

High gears don't ruin axles; people ruin axles.

On a serious note: What's wrong with it?

Maybe the axle is like an Apple product that you have to hold it in just the right way or it doesn't work.
